Hey everyone, I am a "Trep Studio" student and I wanted to show you some of my greatest accomplishments this semester, and one of them was my changemaker prep and my changemaker story, so lets start there.
There are 3 more accomplishments I pride myself in this year, that I want to share with you. They are the documentation whiteboard process (Photo 1), the card sort, (Photo 2), and the creating a concept step(photo 3). All of these were steps towards our final product, which is a website designed to help organize parties and allows you to meet new people in a safe way.
I am proud of the documentation whiteboard process mainly because it involved cooperation and ideas of 3 people. I personally do not work well with others, because I dont like relying on someone else to do our work and keep our grades up. I was especially uneasy trying to throw out ideas and constantly change our current goals/plans/ideas.
The Card sort was just one of my favorite things we did, because we literally got to sit down, and create these pretty, colorful cards and we sat down with students in other classes and asked them to sort the cards from the most important things to them, to the least important things to them. It was crazy how so many people had such similar results, despite the amount of cards we gave each person.
Creating a concept, it is exactly what it sounds like. We all had to change our ideas over and over and keep making them better by throwing ideas out and allowing each other to twist and form it until we came up with something we liked. It started as a dating app idea, and we ended as a website to help organize parties and help our users make new friends in a safe way. I just love how we were all so uncomfortable but after giving it to the process, we became much more successful.
